Jerome Scriptunas developed Youth TimeBanking (YTB) after meeting with Edgar Cahn, creator of the co-production principle (shared responsibility for positive change) and founder of TimeBanks.org. The purpose of YTB is to increase youth involvement, build strengths, increase social capital and community awareness, and recognize youth for their positive contributions. Photovoice brings visibility, attention, and more resources to youth-led community projects.
