Creating them was a real growth experience, using our favorite creative tool, Canva AI, to design, test, and bring the games to life. We’re excited to teach other YTB youth teams how to use these tools to build their own ideas, too.

To make the game more accessible for newer and younger participants, YTB Wordle has the option for a helpful hint. Many players are still building digital literacy, and for some, English isn’t their first language. This version supports language development and confidence so youth can better tell their stories in their own time.

On September 2, 2025, ten members of Youth Timebanking Cameroon (YTBC), led by their president Claude Michele, visited a local orphanage with a mission to share time, joy, and solidarity. What started as a simple social visit turned into a vibrant celebration of togetherness. The youth shared a meal with the children, filling the space with laughter, music, and dancing. Every smile and song highlighted the power of small gestures to create lasting joy.

Along with fellowship, YTBC donated notebooks and reading books from their community store. Yet, the most meaningful gift was the invitation for the orphans to join YTBC. Through membership, the children can take part in activities, earn time credits, and redeem them for goods at the YTBC store. More than charity, it was an invitation to empowerment, inclusion, and belonging. For the orphans, this moment carried the promise of opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute actively to their community.

For the young visitors, the experience was equally impactful. Witnessing the resilience and joy of children with so little reminded them of the value of humility and gratitude. They left the orphanage with full hearts, cherishing the memories of shared meals, dancing, and laughter. Most importantly, they carried a renewed commitment to service. The day was not the end of a project, but the beginning of a deeper resolve—to continue creating opportunities, spreading joy, and building bridges of hope across their community.

This hybrid seminar explores how youth-run courts create restorative, trauma-informed alternatives to traditional discipline, giving students with behavioral challenges an opportunity to learn, lead, and grow.

Panelists from law, medicine, and education will share how youth courts reduce recidivism, support healing, and build pathways for positive peer leadership.

Before the Ultimate Frisbee game, Denise in Kisubi applied heat-transfer vinyl to the bibs for the Bright Parents Nursery & Primary School (BPNPS) team.

This project was part of the Kisubi Youth Time Initiative (KYTI), powered by Youth TimeBanking (YTB), where young people exchange time, energy, and skills to bring community ideas to life.

50 learners participated in the Tangible World Cup coding game challenge.

Learners of Bright Parents Nursery and primary school Mukono have successfully participated in the Code Cup tournament.

The school has been represented by 50 learners grouped into 10 groups of five learners.
Most of them were able to achieve higher levels.

This certificate represents significant work and co-production by the learners, families, teachers, and leaders of Bright Parents School and Kisubi Youth Tine Initiative (KYTI).

YTB puts youth in the same space as opportunity. These youth are no longer spectators of the 21st Century, they are active participants.

KYTI-YTB is sponsoring a group of youth from Bright Parents School to participate in an Ultimate Frisbee match during the All Africa Ultimate Championships (AAUC) being held in Kampala. These youth have been learning the sport of Ultimate Frisbee the past few months. YTB brings opportunity to Youth ARE, and youth become active participants in youth and community development.

Youth participation in Ultimate Frisbee is an example of full youth involvement-engagement and co-production.

These beautiful egret sculptures were created by youth trained by YTB Facilitator Ryan Lusaka in Uganda as part of YTB Industrial Arts.

They sold the sculptures at their Christmas festival and will use money earned buy more materials for their next project. This is YTB in action!

Barbra, a high school girl in Kisubi drew a sketch of Jerome inspired by a photo of him. The YTB adult coordinator, Annitah, said they will frame it and hang it in the small room they are converting to a resource library and chess room. What a wonderful tribute to our Founder!

Victoria, Madrine, and Akram have a vision for the future and they're working towards it with YTB's support.

They are working in their hometown of Kisubi, Uganda to increase awareness, resources, and support for girls’ health education & reproductive rights through their World Knows Her2 (WKH2) project. They hope to create a resource library where members of their local community can come to find reading materials related to health and other topics.

YTB donations supported them to take a trip to a bookstore in Kampala, a first step towards realizing their vision. "Computer Studies" is one of the first books they chose for the sharing library where they live as boarders.
