I learned about Ytbnj through a friend/family member who works with the organization. I have been enormously impressed by Ytbnj’s depth of commitment, creativity and passionate engagement with the youth and communities whom they serve. I am delighted to pen a review about Youth TimeBanking, a groundbreaking platform inspired by the vision of Edgar Cahn. Youth TimeBanking (YTB), was born from the need for a tool for a care management organization to foster community connections and informal support for youth served and their families. This award-winning approach is based on the youth's strengths, needs, abilities, preferences, and service objectives that are reflective of the voice and choice of the child/youth and family served and the service team.

Taking the Youth TimeBanking concept globally was the natural next step. Young people who embrace YTB Global find a safe and inclusive space to showcase their talents, learn from others, and make a positive impact in their communities. Whether it's helping with community projects, mentoring others, or sharing their expertise, every contribution counts, and every youth feels valued

It has been a 'life-changing' experience for me to first learn about Time-Banking, especially connected with youth. Jerome Scriptunas-Founder of Youth Time-Banking, has led the charge to ensure that all youth A.R.E. seen as Assets, Resources, and Energy!
This non-profit organization is succeeding in bringing together innovative thought-leaders from around the world to ensure that there are No More Throw Away People (a book written by the late Dr. Edgar Cahn). The concept of utilizing time as a currency to provide social justice, engagement, co-production and citizen participation is being applied all over the world.
It is a true honor to serve on the Board of Directors for Youth Time-Banking, where I can participate in movement to engage with people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds in achieving the quest to impact equity connected with health, education, vocation, housing/food security and environmental awareness.
